I gotta tell you, I just don't get it. Everywhere I look, Rainbows is the top album of the year. And yet, everytime a song from Rainbows pops up on my random play, I skip it. Because it's boring, directionless and forgettable. I know, every music-person disagrees with me, but someone had to say it.

Most of the others look good and some I don't know but will check out...

I'm not sure where these would fall, but I think I'd put all of them on the top 25. Definitely, Andrew Bird, Josh Ritter and Modest Mouse...

Josh Ritter - The Historical Conquests of Josh Ritter
Bright Eyes - Cassadaga
Okkervil River - The Stage Names
The National - Boxer
Andrew Bird - Armchair Apocrypha
The Broken West - I Can't Go In I'll Go On
Maximo Park - Our Earthly Pleasures
Modest Mouse - We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank
